The World of Arolevan

Arolevan Xu (徐星河) was born in Chengdu on September 9, 1999, a few minutes before his twin brother, Argiovan Xu. He grew up in a family that was already deep in the entertainment world, so things like scripts, cameras, and production talks were just normal parts of his everyday life. While Gio naturally leaned into expressing himself, Ole was always the quieter one, more comfortable watching and understanding things from the side.Even as a kid, he paid attention to details most people didn’t really notice. Not just what people saw on the surface, but everything that made it work behind the scenes. Over time, he realized that the final result people admire usually comes from a long chain of decisions that no one really talks about. As he got older, he found himself learning from both of his parents in different ways. From his father, he picked up how to think in terms of strategy, numbers, and risk. From his mother, he saw how something as simple as an idea could turn into a full story that people connect with. Somewhere between those two, he figured out that stories don’t just exist because they’re good—someone has to back them up and keep them going.

So instead of stepping into the creative side, Ole chose to focus on the part that keeps everything running. He got into investments, decision-making, and figuring out which projects could actually move forward. With Gio becoming a Film Director, it just made sense for him to take that role. They didn’t try to do the same thing—they just made sure they were both holding the same world from different sides.People usually see him as someone composed, maybe a little distant. He knows when to say no, and he rarely lets emotions get in the way of his decisions. Most of the time, that’s exactly who he is. But there are a few things he never treats the same way—certain scripts he lingers on a little longer than necessary, a writing style he recognizes almost instantly, and someone who’s never really been just another part of his world. It’s not something he questions, and definitely not something he ignores. If anything, it’s one of the few things he’s always been sure about. Because in a life where everything has to be calculated, she’s the one thing he never tries to measure—the one presence he keeps without hesitation, without doubt. And in the middle of everything he has to manage and control, she isn’t just what keeps him grounded, she’s the one thing he never once considered letting go.

A Glimpse Into the
Xu Family

Every family has a beginning.
Ours was written under the name Xu.

Xu Zhenyu and Lin Yanshu both grew up in Chengdu, a city known for its relaxed atmosphere and long cultural history. Their lives first crossed in high school, where they quickly became familiar faces in each other’s daily routine. At first, they were simply classmates who happened to share the same circle of friends, but over time their connection developed into something deeper.Zhenyu was known for his calm and thoughtful personality. He was the type of student who rarely spoke unless he had something meaningful to say. Even at a young age, he had a strategic mind and a strong interest in business and economics. While most teenagers were still uncertain about their future, Zhenyu already imagined building something significant one day—a company that could grow and endure.Yanshu was very different. Quiet yet imaginative, she spent much of her time writing in small notebooks she carried everywhere. Her pages were filled with unfinished stories, poetic sentences, and ideas for characters that lived entirely in her mind. Teachers sometimes mistook her silence for distraction, but in reality she was constantly observing people and emotions—something that would later define her work as a writer.During high school, Zhenyu and Yanshu became close friends. They often studied together, shared books, and talked about their dreams for the future. Zhenyu would sometimes speak about industries, investments, and long-term plans, while Yanshu would read him pieces of her writing. He rarely gave elaborate feedback, but he always told her that her stories felt honest and human.Despite how close they were, their relationship remained purely a friendship throughout those years. Many classmates assumed they were already a couple, but neither of them seemed interested in defining it that way. What they had built was something steady—an understanding that didn’t need explanation. After graduation, their lives moved forward but never apart. Zhenyu pursued business and finance, refining the strategic mindset that had always guided him. Yanshu studied literature, dedicating herself more seriously to writing. During those years, their friendship slowly transformed into something deeper. There was no dramatic turning point. Instead, their relationship evolved naturally, as if it had simply taken time to reach its true shape. They began dating quietly, and to the people who knew them well, it felt less like a surprise and more like an inevitable continuation of their story.By the time they were twenty-four, both of them had already stepped into the early stages of their careers. The company they were building with their closest friends had finally begun to stabilize. With their professional lives becoming more secure, Zhenyu and Yanshu decided to marry.Their wedding was simple and intimate, attended mostly by family and the friends who had been part of their lives since childhood.A few years later, in 1999, they welcomed their twin sons—Ole and Gio. At that time, neither their business nor their personal careers had reached their full potential yet. But the foundation of their family had already been formed: a partnership built on years of friendship, patience, and quiet understanding.

When Four Paths Aligned.

Star of the Vast Universe

The World of Argiovan

Argiovan Xu—better known as Gio—was born in Chengdu on September 9, 1999, three minutes after his twin brother, Ole. Growing up in a family deeply involved in the entertainment industry meant that filmmaking was simply part of his everyday life. Scripts scattered across tables, conversations about production budgets, actors visiting the studio, and discussions about new projects were normal things in the Xu household. From a young age, the difference between the twins was already clear. Ole was more reserved, someone who preferred observing systems and understanding the bigger picture. Gio, on the other hand, was expressive and imaginative. While Ole analyzed how things worked, Gio was fascinated by how stories could be built. That contrast eventually shaped their careers. Gio grew up dreaming about creating films—not just directing scenes, but building entire worlds. As he grew older, he pursued filmmaking and creative direction, eventually becoming the creative mastermind within their family company, Xingchen Media Group.Gio is the person who determines which stories deserve to be told, shaping the tone, visual style, and emotional atmosphere of a project. He revises scripts to match his vision, works with casting teams to choose the right actors, and directs the entire production team—from cinematographers to editors. In short, Gio is the one who creates the world of the film. But that world only exists because of his brother. While Gio leads the creative side, Ole became the company’s Venture Capital and Investment Director. Ole handles the financial strategy of the company—deciding which projects deserve funding, analyzing risks and potential profits, negotiating with investors, and ensuring the company remains financially stable. If Gio is the one who imagines the world, Ole is the one who decides whether that world can exist at all.Growing up, Gio and Ole were also close with two other children within the same circle: Yang Qinghe, daughter of Yang Mingze, and Lin Xingyao, daughter of Lin Zhikai. The four of them grew up together in the same environment, surrounded by studios, production sets, and company meetings. Their friendship felt almost inevitable, as if they were simply continuing the bond their parents had built decades earlier.

Among them, Gio and Xingyao gradually developed something deeper. As they grew older and began working within Xingchen Media Group, their relationship quietly evolved from childhood friendship into something more meaningful. They understood each other well—both having grown up inside the same world of media, expectations, and family legacy.Their relationship was warmly supported by their parents and those around them. To many people, it seemed like a natural continuation of the friendship between their families. Eventually, Gio and Xingyao became engaged. But fate took a different turn. Xingyao’s father, Lin Zhikai, made a severe mistake within the company—one serious enough to cost him his position. The incident deeply disappointed the other founders, especially Xu Zhenyu, Gio’s father. For Zhenyu, the mistake was not just a professional failure but a betrayal of the trust that had existed between them for decades. The consequences reached beyond business. Because of the conflict between the founders, Gio and Xingyao’s engagement was ultimately canceled. Zhenyu no longer approved of the relationship, and the distance between the two families became impossible to ignore. After that, Gio changed. He continued working within the company, directing films and managing creative projects with the same professionalism as before. On the surface, nothing about his career seemed different. His films were still praised for their vision and atmosphere. But privately, Gio lived differently. He became quieter, more withdrawn. He focused only on his work, as if filmmaking had become the only space where he could still feel something real. Outside of that world, he often felt as though he was simply moving through life without truly living it.In many ways, Gio continued forward in the shadow of Xingyao, carrying a story that had ended before it truly began.
